What a Deal!!!

Found a super deal on these..

The glass hurricane lamps were 40 % off at The Bay.
So I think they ended up around $19 each.

These candles were on sale at Micheals for $2.99 ...they are nice and tall...
perfect for the hurricane.  I glued tissue paper to the candles to tone the
color down and promise to watch them when they are lite.

Mixed it up and... Voila!
I use these crystals a lot, they add just enough sparkle.

Our front door.

I just need some orange in or around the glass....
I guess I will just have to go to Micheals again.  ;)

Have a super day!

Decoupage Pumpkin Candle

Candles....do we ever have enough?
I don't think I ever will.   :/

I made some for Halloween
and one for winter here ....

Teen Bathroom

It started out as a tub and some pipes...
no walls no ceiling just a cement floor.

Actually more like this....

You can see the back of the shower/tub ....insulation, scraps of wood, debris...
O the joys of construction  :)

This is a basement bathroom, with no windows so we put in heated flooring under the tiles,
and boy is it ever nice to have a warm floor in the middle of a
Canadian winter!

I wanted the vanity to match the rest of the house so we found
this one at Home Depot ...lots of drawers and large cupboard space
for the girls.

We chose a soft yellow so that it would be bright and lighten the dark feeling of a basement.

The shower rod is curved and it makes the shower/tub feel spa like. If you
are planning to put a curved shower rod in  2 things...make sure that there is
space for it and make sure it is one continuous rod..this one
is 2 rods and the hooks get caught up
on the spot where they connect.  :(

Another room done!

BOO!

And just when you thought I had completely fallen off the face of the earth.....BOO!  I m back.
We have been super busy around here!  Eventually I will show you all the things we've been working on..but please bare with me...I have also started hairdressing again, 3 days a week so please be patient...:) (thanks mom.)

I wanted to show you my new frame for my large hallway mirror...I bought this green and gold picture with a green and gold frame at v.v.'s.  The frame was the perfect size to fit over my mirror so I took out the picture and painted the frame...

then we attached the mirror and frame to the wall...soo happy with it.  Not a lot of work and it made a big impact on the mirror.

I cant believe the difference!

Mirror free
Picture frame  $12
total......$12
:) :)
:)  Hope you have a super day!

Moving More Furniture :)

Right now we are working on our downstairs bathroom,
Studs up, gyproc up, mudding and painting...check!
So now I am just waiting until my husband has some time to
do the floor, we are installing heated flooring under
ceramic tiles . The bathroom is very chilly so I think that it is a wise investment.
Anyhow, I am still cleaning dusting and re-arranging.  You know the
storey, the domino effect....you move one piece of furniture and suddenly you have
moved things through out your house. This is a great way to spring clean!
(I enjoy the after affects of cleaning...but not
the process!)

This cabinet has also been various colors and tones of wood!
I think we have had it for almost 20 years!

I like the way the top is ...but I need something
"rough" for the shelves..it just looks too
formal for me! hhhmmmm..

I love white roses!  Fake or not Idc!  hahah

Lots of creams and whites and a little
natural tones!

Thanks for visiting!  I hope to be able to post
our FINISHED bathroom soon!

Moving Furniture

I am always trying to find different ways to lay out our
livingroom, ok not just our living room, our house.
I enjoy re-arranging furniture, so much so
that I have weakened the legs of some of our dressers and
put lots of dings on walls, floors and body parts  : /  ..hahah.
I don't wait for the help of my husband because he
seems to talk me out of it....so I just do it...  :)

Okay, this shelf was in the living room, I have painted the shelf
painted the walls and moved this shelf.

Aaahh, that's better....moved this shelf to the dining room and
lightened up the load of "stuff" on it...

I am in search for a mirror or something large to hang
above the shelf.

OR.....

how about this...
I sprayed this clock with black spray paint,
it doesn't keep time but I love the shape and
I think its cute sitting there saying its 5 o'clock all
the time! lol

What do you think...which is your favorite?
I can't deceide ...   : /
I am just really glad that I am a slight hoarder!
(ooops better hide the cord for the clock!)
